PREPARATION: GETTING ARMED

America, is one of the last nations to allow the God given right of private firearm ownership. We have seen that civil unrest and natural disaster can bring out the best in some people, but it can also bring out the worst in others.

We all can remember some form of disaster accompanied by looting and violence. The worst among us use tragedy as an opportunity, to do the things they would normally not. In liberal fantasy land, the looter will see the error of his way and join you in a recycling project. Unfortunately, we live in the real world, and there are evil people. If that were not true, we would have no need for police or a military.

No balanced person, looks forwards to using a gun to harm anyone. I pray that I will never have to harm or take the life of another in such a way, but I will do what I must to defend my life, and the lives of others against acts of aggression. Having a gun and a supply of ammunition is as essential as food storage or a 72 hour kit. Even if a disaster never occurs, a gun can provide a sense of security that makes it worth its weight in gold.

COMMON SENSE WARNINGS
1. If you are not familiar with firearms, become familiar before you bring a gun into your home. Local gun clubs, the NRA, and several other fine organizations provide safety training for beginners.
2. Keep guns out of the reach of unsupervised children. If you have children in your home, you should lock your guns up.
